arbon monosulfide has been generated in a flow through cell by the A.C. discharge of $CS2$ diluted in He, using a neon-sign trans former. A tunable semiconductor diode laser has been used to observe the absorption lines. The $N2O$ transitions were used as wavenumber references. Isotopic species, $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">12</mrow>}C32S,12C34S,13C32S$, and $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">12</mrow>}C33S$ were detected in their natural abundances. Band origins, rotational constants, and centrifugal distortion constants were determined for each isotopic species.
