Abstract

The microwave spectrum of methylarsine, CH3AsH2, has been measured and analyzed. A preliminary value for the barrier to internal rotation of the methyl group is 1475±50 cal/mole. This value will be compared with the barrier calculated by Lowe.1 Results for the rotational constants, dipole moment, and quadrupole coupling constants will also be presented.
