Abstract
Jeffrey Taliaferro is Associate Professor of Political Science at Tufts University,
where he teaches courses on United States foreign policy, security studies, and the
rise and the fall of the great powers. Taliaferro has recently begun work on a project that examines the periodic
recurrence of preemption and preventive war considerations in the grand strategies
of the United States and other great powers.
