Abstract

This work investigates the variation in the mechanical properties of a plastic (TPO) part composed of virgin material and different levels of regrind (unpainted and painted) material. The objective of the thesis is to determine the most likely maximum amount of recycled material that could be used in a new plastic part without allowing the parts's mechanical properties to fall below engineering specifications.
