Abstract

Measurements of frequencies and transition moments of gaseous HD at room temperature have been made at a spectral resolution of $0.02 cm^{-1}$ with a Bomem Fourier transform spectrometer; the pressure was 470 Torr and the pathlength was 48 m. The measurements both improve the accuracy of earlier results and extend the J values of observed lines. Measurements are continuing at lower temperatures and in mixtures with rare gases in order to study intracollisional interference effects. We also hope to study the pure rotational spectrum in the far infrared.
