Abstract

The history of an alleged prehistoric "graded way" at Piketon, Pike Co., Ohio, is reviewed, and two photographs ca. 1890 are included. Debunked as a natural formation by Fowke (1902), the remnants of the phenomenon were examined by William H. Sassaman in the 1950s and determined to be a glacial esker.
