Abstract

The microwave spectra of $N_{3}COOCH_{3}$ have been observed in the region 26.5-40 GHz. Among the various possible conformers, rotational transitions corresponding to only one of these have been found and assigned. Preliminary values for the ground state rotational constants, in MHz, for $N_{3}COOCH_{3}$ are A = 10742.2, B = 1568.63, and C = 1380.11 and for $N_{3}COOCD_{4}$ are A = 9947.4, B = 1442.21 and C = 1281.35. Satellites corresponding to the methyl torsion have been identified and height of the barrier determined from relative intensity measurements.
