Abstract

Infrared and Raman spectra of 1,3diazine−h4 and −d1 (pyrimidine) and 1,4diazine−h4 and −d4 (pyrazine) have been measured. Some help in interpreting the vibrational spectra has been obtained from “hot” bands of the near ultraviolet absorption of each compound. Based on these spectra, improvements of existing vibrational assignments will be discussed.
