“The infra-red spectrum of gaseous $HC\equiv CCHO, DC\equiv CCHO, HC\equiv CCDO$ and the Raman spectrum of liquid $HC\equiv CCHO$ are reported. An analysis of the normal modes has been carried out for the inplane vibrations, using force constants transferred from related molecules, as an aid in assigning the observed frequencies. A complete assignment of the fundamentals has been made.”
