Abstract

We have developed the use of fast Fourier transforms in computational spectral data handling such as Fourier self-deconvolution (1,2), derivation (3), smoothing (4), interpolation and complex self-deconvolution (5) for asymmetric lines. The use of fast Fourier transforms seems to be the most effective and accurate technique in data handling as compared to the other methods. Short descriptions of the Fourier transform methods will be presented.
