Abstract
The $T_{2}$-relaxation times and the pressure-induced frequency shifts of the three J = 0-1 hyperfine lines of $CH_{3}^{35}C1$ have been measured by Stark-switched transient emission microwave spectroscopy. The linewidths, $1/2\pi T_{2}$, and the lineshifts, corrected for wall collisions and the Doppler effect, have been found to be equal for the three transitions. The extrapolated zero-pressure resonances agree well with the beam maser frequencies reported by Kukolich and $Nelson.^{1}$ A comparison of the lineshifts will be made with steady state $experiments^{2}$ and theoretical $calculations.^{3}$
