Abstract

Analysis of newly measured spectral dataa for wave number and intensities of transitions of 16O2 in absorption in systems a1Δgν=0−X3gν=0 and b1g+ν=0,1,2−X3gν=0 with proper statistical treatment yields band parameters for excited states, based on parameters for the ground vibrational state valid up to J=41, that are the most precise (σ=0.021,0.038,0.043,0.50m−1 respectively) in published form, and strengths of lines that are internally consistent and in satisfactory agreement with other published values.
