Abstract
In obtaining infrared spectra there are two obvious methods of modulating the absorption of vapors as contrasted to the usual beam modulation, one by periodically varying the partial pressure of the absorbing compound, the other by periodically varying the length of the absorption cell. Both schemes have been tested with 13-cycles-per-second modulation. Spectra have been successfully recorded.
