Abstract
The fine structure splittings in $2\nu_{3}$ of methane have been measured from deconvoluted high resolution spectra. The theory presented by $Susskind^{1}$, as an extension of the work of $Hecht^{2}$ and $Fox^{3}$, is applied to these data. Line assignments, molecular parameters and the details of the fit will be discussed.
