Abstract

Plant and animal remains from three Late Woodland sites in Muskingum Co., Ohio (Copeland Island, Longacre I, and Longacre II) are identified. Maize and bean agriculture appears to be present at some of the sites. Freshwater naiads represent the bulk of the faunal collections. Spring and fall occupation, possibly associated with the planting and harvesting of maize and beans, is postulated.
