Abstract

Colophon: One Hundred Seventy-five copies of thie broadside were printed by hand from handset Joanna types on Twinrocker handmade paper at The Logan Elm Press and Papermill, the Arts-of-the-Book Laboratory of The Ohio State University, Summer 1990. Sidney Chafetz's portrait of James Thurber was printed from a wood block using the reduction method of cutting away portions of the wood before printing each color, thus destroying the block.
