Abstract

Deuterated isotopomers of organic molecules have been detected in a wide variety of interstellar sources. They are particularly abundant in star-forming regions such as the so-called Hot Core and Compact Ridge sources in the Orion Nebula. Although methyl formate is a source of numerous interstellar lines from star-forming regions, its singly deuterated isotopomers have not been detected in the interstellar medium due to a lack of laboratory data. Based on previous data, we have extended the measurements and assigned the millimeter-wave rotational spectrum of DCOOCH3 to high frequency. The data have been analyzed via an IAM procedure previously utilized for methanol and other three-fold symmetric internal rotors.
