Abstract

Vibration-rotation spectra of the ν3 fundamental band of 16O3 and the five isotopes obtained by substitution of each 16O atom by 18O have been recorded using a tunable diode laser system at NASA Langley Research Center. The various isotopic mixtures have been prepared from 99.98% 16O-enriched and 96.5% 18O-enriched oxygen samples by electrical discharge. Spectra of nearly pure 16O3, nearly pure 18O3, and mixtures of these isotopes and 16O16O18O,16O18O16O,16O18O18O, and 18O16O18O will be shown. Intensities and air-broadened halfwidths have been derived for selected lines.
