Abstract

A sample of fresh-water molluscan shells from the Late Prehistoric Philo Site, Muskingum Co., Ohio, is described. The fauna contains 20 bivalve taxa and 4 terrestrial gastropod species. Obovaria olivaria is previously unrecorded from the Muskingum River. Spring or summer occupation is suggested by the presence of gravid Campeloma.
