Linear Stark effect has been resolved on several ro-vibrational transitions in the $\nu 4$ fundamental of $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">13</mrow>}CD4$. Tunable sidebands of a $CO2$ laser were used to saturate single m-components. The vibration induced dipole moment P has been determined for different values of the quantum number R; similar observations on the silane isotopomer $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">29</mrow>}S1H4$ are presented.
