Abstract

Linear Stark effect has been resolved on several ro-vibrational transitions in the ν4 fundamental of 13CD4. Tunable sidebands of a CO2 laser were used to saturate single m-components. The vibration induced dipole moment P has been determined for different values of the quantum number R; similar observations on the silane isotopomer 29S1H4 are presented.
