Abstract

I spent 12 weeks living and working in Washington, D.C. as John Glenn Fellow with a cohort of 35 other Ohio State students. We interned 32 hours a week, Monday-Thursday, and participated in weekly "study tours" and "policy salons" on Fridays and evenings. We also wrote a capstone policy paper, and took a class on issues in contemporary governance. For this whole program, I received 12 Ohio State credit hours. I strongly recommend WAIP to anyone interested in government, policy, or nonprofits.
