Abstract
The infrared spectra for thin films of trifluoro- and trichloro-boroxine, $(BOX)_{3}$, as well as the twomixed fluro-chloro derivatives, have been examined. Thus by using the Raman data of $Goubeau^{1}$ a nearly complete vibrational assignment for $(BOCl)_{3}$ was possible. A tentative assignment of the infrared active modes of the other boroxine derivatives was then made. From this basis an overlay force constant calculation, which permitted a more detailed assignment for all members of this series of molecules, was possible.
