Abstract

The NaK molecule contained in a crossed heat pipe has been excited with six different lines of the argon ion laser. The fluorescence series from the $D^{1} \Pi - X^{1} \Sigma^{+}$ transition are observed with a $3.4$ m spectrograph. Th\’{e} dissociation energy and the vibrational constants are estimated by following the fluorescence series to high $v^{\prime}^{\prime}$. The rotational constants and rotational numbering are determined with the help of additional collision-induced satellite lines.
