Japanese fan, with bamboo wood stand, featuring black lacquered wooden ribs and hand-painted images of cherry blossoms on one side of the paper screen and autumn leaves on the verso, presented to John Glenn during the Space Shuttle Discovery mission STS-95 crew trip to Japan in 1999.
