Abstract

$HO_{2}$ radical high resolution spectra have been obtained by Intracavity Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (ICLAS) technique. Approximately 1200 rotational lines in $HO_{2}$ absorption spectra have been assigned in 1220-1270 nm range. It was found that vibrationnally excited $HO_{2}$ to be produced in some part as a product of the reaction $CH_{2}OH+O_{2}\rightarrow HO_{2} +CH_{2}O$. 266 lines belonging to $\Delta K = +1$ rotational subband with $K^{\prime\prime} = 0,1,2,3,4$ of the $HO_{2}$ hotband $A^{2}A^{\prime}(0,2,0) \leftarrow X^{2}A^{\prime\prime}(0,1,0)$ in the $7889-8239 cm^{-1}$ range have been identified. Spectroscopical constants for $A^{2}A^{\prime}(0,0,1), A^{2}A^{\prime}(0,2,0)$ have been obtained by LSQ fitting of the calculated $HO_{2}$ spectrum to the observed one with the use of Polo's formulae approximation for the rotational energy levels of near prolate asymmetric top together with $X^{2}A^{\prime\prime}(0,0,0)$ ground state $HO_{2}$ rotational constants known from literature.
