Abstract

Near-normal-incidence spectral reflectances have been determined for liquid methane and for other hydrocarbons in the liquid phase. Values of infrared optical constants \^{N} = n + ik have been determined from Kramers-Kronig phase shift analysis of these data. The results obtained will be presented and compared with results from previous transmission studies. Relevance to planetary atmosphere investigations will be discussed.
