Abstract
The microwave spectrum of cis-1,2,3-trifluorocyclopropane a product from the ozonolysis of cis-1,2-difluoroethylene described in the preceding paper, has been investigated in the region B-40 GHz. A fit of the oblate symmetric top spectrum gives a rotational constant of 4064.93 $\pm$ 0.04 MHz, A molecular structure was determined using the rotational constants obtained from assignments of the monodeutero species, $\overbrace{CHFCHFC}DF$, and the carbon-13 species, $^{13}\overbrace{CHFCHFC}HF$, The molecular parameters are $r(C-H) = 1.095 \pm 0.002 A$, $r(C-C) = 1.507 \pm 0.002 A$, $r(C-F) = 1.354 \pm 0.003 A$, and $(HCF) = 112.2 \pm 0.2^{\circ}$. A dipole moment of $3.89 \pm 0-05$ D was determined from the second order Stark shifts of the J = 2-3 transition of the symmetric top species, $\overbrace{CHFCHFC}HF$.
