Abstract
Molecular spectroscopy has played a decisive role in the study of both interstellar and circumstellar regions in astronomy. In this talk, we introduce the mini-symposium on ""New Trends in Astronomical Observations"" by summarizing past successes, and looking forward to future endeavors.
