Abstract
The Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio (CPCO) functions to provide medications and pharmacy services to uninsured and underinsured individuals living in Franklin County. CPCO serves 600-700 unduplicated patients per month, and dispenses medications that patients otherwise could not afford. Pharmacists and pharmacy students at CPCO provide medication counseling and education about diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and breathing problems. Patients can also meet with a dietitian for nutrition counseling and connection to local resources.
