Abstract

The vapor phase infrared spectrum ($33 cm^{-1}- 4000 cm^{-1})$ and vapor phase Raman spectrum have been obtained for disilazane, $(SiH_{3})_{2} NH$ and for disilazane-$d_{1}$. Tentative assignments of the fundamentals are proposed. In addition, the torsional barrier, inversion mode, and degree of planarity of the molecular skeleton are discussed.
