Abstract

Colophon: This book was printed on Arches cover paper from handset Centaur types at The Logan Elm Press and Papermill, the Arts-of-the-Book Laboratory of The Ohio State University's College of the Arts, Department of Art Education. Charlene Payton bound this book with Whitby endsheets and her handmarbled paper, designed the calligraphy and handdrew the initial letters for each copy. Grateful acknowledgement is made to Dr. Kenneth and Sylvia Marantz for their assistance in editing the text, to students of the book arts laboratory for handsetting the type, and to the printing industries of central Ohio for their generous support. This project was made possible in part by an "Artist's Forum" grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and an "Arts-of-the-Book Apprenticeship" grant from the Ohio Arts Council. Of 38 signed copies this is copy number 29.
