Abstract

The infrared spectra of rotenone, dihydrorotenone, and isorotenone, over the 2 to 15 micron range, are analyzed on the he basis of empirical group frequencies. The observd spectral changes are correlated with the changes in chemical structure whic accompany the hydrogenation and isomerization of rotenone. The spectra provide further confirmation of the accepted chemical structures.
