Abstract

The microwave spectrum of trifluoromethylhypofluorite has been studied in the region 8-40 GHz. Only μa R-type transitions have been observed thus far. The rotational constants for the ground state are, in MHz: A=(5700 ± 200), B = 3108.114 and C = 3049.241. Reported constants obtained from an infrared band contour analysis1 are in reasonable agreement with this determination. Results of a search for other transitions and analysis of excited states will be reported.
