This item is the meeting minutes of the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University held on Wednesday, August 31, 1994 at the Ohio State University Fawcett Center for Tomorrow, Columbus, Ohio. Topics discussed at the meeting included the president's report, update on the University restructuring, department and committee reports, report of research contracts and grants, the establishment of a captive insurance company to supplement the insurance program for the Hospitals, the appointment of board members for Lima, Marion and Newark campuses, personnel actions, resolutions in memoriam, the establishment of named endowed funds, employment of architects/engineers and request for construction bids, the employment of a developer for a tenant improvement program, the restructuring of academic support units of Finance, Business and Administration, and Health Sciences, and the authorization to the President, and/or his designee to negotiate with local, state, and federal officials for collaborative participation in the effort to redevelop and enhance areas within the City of Columbus.
