Abstract
Prequencies and intensities for the $a^{1}\Delta_{g}\rightarrow X^{3}{\Sigma_{g}}^{-}$ transition at 60, 300 and 600 torr $O_{2}$ and 600 torr dry air at $296^{\circ} K$ have been measured in absorption using the Fourier transform spectrometer at the McMath Solar Telescope of Kitt Peak National Observatory. Transitions for $O_{P}, P_{P}, Q_{P}, P_{Q}, Q_{Q}, R_{Q}, Q_{R}, R_{R}$ and $S_{R}$ branches were observed to J=27. A calibration of the frequency scale to the $N_{2}O {00^{\circ} 2}$ band allow an absolute determination of the transition frequencies to ${10^{-4} cm^{-1}}.^{1}$ Consequently, results have been obtained for the self-shift, $N_{2}$ shift, self-broadening and $N_{2}$ broadening coefficients. The intensity measurements are accurate to better than one percent for a majority of the observed lines. These measurements are used to calibrate the frequency and airmass of atmospheric observations.
