An expressive, broad-faced portrait of composer Darius Milhaud. Text to the left of his head reads "le boeuf sur le twat." It is a phonetic play on the French title of The Cow on the Roof, a surrealist Milhaud composition. The knot in the carved woodblock was turned into Milhaud's right eye.
