Abstract

The microwave spectrum of cyclopentene ozonide was examined in the region 18.0 - 40.0 GHz by both Stark Modulation and R. F. - Microwave Double-Resonance Techniques. The spectrum was characteristic of a near-spherical top $(\kappa = 0.1428)$ showing dominate high J A-type Q-branch transitions. The ground state rotational constants here determined to be 3035-19, 2S55.59 and 2149.48 MHz and centrifugal distortion effects were noted and evaluated for higher J lines. Rotational constants for a vibrationally excited state were determined. The dipole moment and probable molecular confirmation have also been determined.
