Abstract

We have located a nozzle into the sample compartment of a Brucker Fourier transform interferometer IFS120HR and ensured the conditions for a supersonic expansion. Several experiments were attempted in the mid-infrared range. Test spectra of CO2 demonstrated a rotational temperature of 13 K. Spectra of NO, NO2 and N2O4 were recorded, demonstrating an important spectral simplification. For the first time, rotational parameters can be derived concerning N2O4.""
