Abstract

OSU Extension-Muskingum facilitated a 20-month process that resulted in the development of a new county land use plan. Eight recommendations were developed by the land use committee that were approved by the Muskingum County Commissioners. These recommendations will help to direct future development and growth in the community. Recommendations include fostering cooperation between the city and county, creating regulated corridors, redeveloping areas with existing infrastructure, protecting areas for future transportation corridors and inventorying brownfields.
