Abstract

High resolution proton magnetic resonance spectra are presented for $B_{2}H_{6}$, $B_{4}H_{10}$, $B_{5}H_{9}$, $B_{10}H_{14}$, $B_{2}H_{3}(CH_{3})_{3}$, $B_{2}H_{2}(CH_{3})_{4}$, $B_{2}H_{5}N(CH_{3})_{2}$, $B_{3}N_{3}H_{6}$, $NaBH_{4}$, and $Al(BH_{4})_{3}$. High resolution $B^{11}$ magnetic resonance spectra are also presented for these substances. The details of both types of spectra are discussed in terms of chemical shift and spin-spin interaction multiplets, and are correlated with molecular structure assignments. Of particular interest is the problem presented by the spectra of $Al(BH_{4})_{3}$. Neither to unsuspected dynamic feature of its molecular structure is strongly suggested.
