Abstract
The pressure broadened widths of lines of carbon dioxide broadened by oxygen and dry air have been estimated by and analysis of the 9.4 and 10.4$\mu$m bands using methods described $previously^{1}$. The data were obtained with a commercial Nicolet F.T.S. of resolution approximately $0.06 cm^{-1}$, a path length of 130 meters, and pressures of approximately one atmosphere. Spectra were obtained over a temperature range of about $60^{\circ} C$, including room temperature. Preliminary estimates for $O_{2}$ broadening are consistent with the few previous $results^{2,3}$. In particular it has been found that the temperature dependence $(T_{o}/T)\gamma$ is more satisfactorily modeled with an exponent $\gamma$ of approximately. 75. $^{1}$M. HOKE and J.
