Abstract
“The Michigan State University Digital Computer (MISTIC) has been programmed to perform the following operations: (1) To calculate, from a set of molecular constants, the frequency and intensity of all the transitions desired for both parallel and perpendicular bands of prolate and oblate symmetric top molecules. (2) To determine, by the method of least squares, the molecular constants for the ground and excited state involved in the perpendicular bands of symmetric top molecules.
