Abstract

Precise band centers are now available for most of the fundamental bands of gas phase 3H-diazirine, $H_{2}CNN$, and its isotopomers $H_{2}^{13}CNN, H_{2}C^{15}N^{15}N, D_{2}CNN$ and HDCNN, and centrifugal distortion constants have also been published for all of these $species^{1}$. Matrix isolation spectra in argon have now also been recorded for these same species. The gas phase and matrix data complement each other, and are used together to circumvent weaknesses in the data from each phase alone. The matrix spectra and the valence force field determined from the data will be presented. $^{1}$ M. Winnewisser, A. Gambi and K. M\""{o}ller, in ``The Chemistry of Diazirines"" (M. T. H.
