Abstract

The 3$\nu_{3}$ band of nitrogen dioxide has been recorded between 4680 and $4775 cm^{-1}$ using a Fourier transform spectrometer with a resolution of $0.006 cm^{-1}$. The doublets resulting from the spin-rotation interaction have been observed for all che values of $K_{a}$. The four spin-rotation parameters ${\displaystyle\epsilon_{xx}, \epsilon_{yy}, \epsilon_{zz},\eta_{zzzz}}$, have been adjusted to fit on the observed splittings. A Watson reduced Hamiltonian has been used in our rotational treatment. The fit of the vibrorotational lines has led to the determination of a set of accurate spectroscopic constants for the upper vibrational state.
