The 3 band of nitrogen dioxide has been recorded between 4680 and using a Fourier transform spectrometer with a resolution of . The doublets resulting from the spin-rotation interaction have been observed for all che values of . The four spin-rotation parameters , have been adjusted to fit on the observed splittings. A Watson reduced Hamiltonian has been used in our rotational treatment. The fit of the vibrorotational lines has led to the determination of a set of accurate spectroscopic constants for the upper vibrational state.
