Abstract
Since the observation and $identification^{1}$ of lines due to the isotopic varieties ($^{13}C^{16}O$, $^{12}C^{18}O$ and $^{12}C^{17}O$) in the natural sample, attempts have been in progress, in this laboratory, to obtain enriched samples and make measurements of the isotopic carbon monoxide lines to as high J values as possible. The present work reports some of the results obtained with an enriched $^{13}C^{16}O$ sample. 1-0, 2-0, and 3-0 bands of $^{13}C^{16}O$ 1-0 and 2-0 bands of $^{12}C^{18}O$, and the 1-0 band of $^{13}C^{16}O$ have been measured in absorption employing a Michelson $goniometer^{2}$ for determining the grating rotation. Molecular constants were evaluated from the experimental data and the results will be discussed in relation to the large amount of experimental data that has become available recently for the carbon monoxide molecule and its isotopic varieties.
