Abstract
Recent molecular beam electric resonance measurements on the $a^{3}II$ state of CO have yielded precision values of the dipole moment, dipole moment derivative, and lambda doubling. Time-of-flight measurement on beams of neutral metastable molecules has been used as a ``mass spectrometer.'' This method has made it possible to observe and prove the identity of a number of metastables, including benzene and toluene.
