Abstract

A CO2 sample of natural isotopic abundance has been heated to 800 K in a high temperature absorption cell of pathlength 1 3/4 meters. Spectra were taken using the AFGL (Air Force Geophysics Laboratory) high resolution Fourier transform spectroscopy with a resolution of 0.004cm−1, Many ``hot bands'' in the ν2 region were observed. Effective vibration-rotation constants for these bands will be presented. This work was supported by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) as part of AFGL Task 2310G1.
