Abstract

In glassy systems both the phosphorescence spectrum and the microwave zero-field transitions are inhomogeneously broadened. In quinoxaline, dissolved in an isopentane-methylcyclohexane mixture, a linear relation between zero-field parameters and the solvent shift is observed. These results are discussed in terms of standard solvent theory.
