Abstract

A Fermi resonance between the ν9+ν12 and ν8+2ν4 bands of C2H6 near 5μm has been analyzed. The analyzed method used the Hellman-Feynman theorem for the analytical determination of δE/δα where α is member of the set of molecular parameters.1 The subband origins were fitted using non-linear least-squares techniques. The analysis method will be discussed in details and results reported for the states studied.
