Abstract

The Between France and Morocco: Diversity and Inclusion in the Francophone World program is an education abroad trip held by the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Ohio State. The faculty lead course delves into the cultural, religious, racial, and national identities of France--a predominately Catholic empire-- and Morocco--a French colonized, Islamic nation. The trip will start out in Paris, followed by a week of homestay in Aix-en-Provence. The third week will be spent in various Moroccan cities. The history and beauty of these fascinating countries will be captured through written reflections, and striking photographs. At the end of the program, the trip will be shared via social media as well as through the step signature project.
